Sugar Creek Fire Department is a combination department made up of 6 full-time firefighters and approximately 40 volunteer firefighters.

We protect approximately 7100 citizens in this coverage area. In addition, SCFD has automatic mutual aid agreements with agencies in the surrounding townships. SCFD is a combination fire department. Our personnel consist of career firefighters, and volunteer firefighters, and support staff. Our personnel works out of our two manned stations which are staffed 24/7.

Our response area includes responses to St. Mary of the Woods College which houses an engine and tanker. Station 41 within the town limits of West Terre Haute, Indiana housing an engine, ladder, and other support vehicles. Our department is also responsible for technical rescue within the county, which includes high and low-angle rope rescue and swift water operations.
